Wanted!
Yes, Ken Winter wants to be hired by you to serve you
in your real estate needs. He wants to help you find that dream home, sell
your existing home, vacant land or just answer your real estate questions.
He has the expertise to do just that.
Ken has been involved in almost every aspect of real
estate since a young kid. As a young boy, he watched his dad build houses.
As he grew up on job sites, he had the "big" responsibility of
picking up scrap lumber and enjoyed making "cities" with the
scraps. An admirer of the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, Ken
pursued a career in architecture by financing his way through college
designing houses and drawing house plans for local contractors. Ken also
pounded nails and coordinated the work on some of the homes. Rather than
becoming an architect for buildings, he became an architect for cities.
During college, Ken became interested in the much larger picture and
obtained a bachelors degree in urban planning and became a master planner
for large urban communities. Ken was a professional planner for more than
30 years. For 21 years, Ken managed a large land planning division for the
County of Orange where he supervised preparation of community plans
including Newport Coast, Aliso Viejo, Bolsa Chica, Dana Point and
Capistrano Beach. Ken was also the chief representative for the County
before the California Coastal Commission. Ken also spent 5 years as a
manager with Orange County Harbors, Beaches and Parks Department where he
helped manage the county’s 35,000 acres of regional and wilderness
parks, world renowned harbors and beaches, 400 miles of riding and hiking
trails and over 200 miles of off-road bike trails. Ken recently retired
from the County to work full time as a Realtor.
In his "spare time" Ken put his education and
experience to use. He developed a residential subdivision in Upland taking
the project from raw land through the development entitlement process to
final improvement plans. He also developed a small subdivision in Alta
Loma and bought and sold residential investment properties.
Wanting to know more about the ins and outs of real
estate transactions, Ken began taking college level courses in real estate
which led to him becoming a licensed broker over 17 years ago. Ken stays
on the cutting edge of real estate by attending seminars and classes on
every area of the real estate industry.
For the past 50 years, Ken has called the Inland Empire
his home and moved to Upland 25 years ago with his wife of 41 years. They
have 8 children, 5 of which were foster children that are now a permanent
part of their family. They are also blessed with 5 grandchildren. Caring
for special needs children takes a special kind of love and people skills.
Ken believes this caring transfers over to his working
with clients. Their interests are Ken’s number one priority and he works
with each client with dignity and respect. His education and experience
has always been result oriented and therefore enables him to offer the
finest service available.
So why hire Ken, "He has been there and done
that" so he will:
- understand your wants
- listen to you
- make you feel at ease during your entire transaction
- find the perfect home in the neighborhood of your choice
- get the best deal for you
- get results
- knows the entitlement and development process
